Social Hero live at Rebel 8/13!

August 4th, 2009

Hey Billy Bob!

Well, it’s a very special day today. It’s Barack Obama’s birthday. What this means to you is: if it’s also your birthday today, maybe someday it will be a national holiday, and I won’t have to go to work on your birthday any more. I’m looking at you, W. R. Thornton (happy birthday). (The rest of you, of course, know Mr. Thornton as the monster-magazine enthusiast and drummer/vocalist for rock superstars The Boxmasters, although it turns out he’s also done some acting, and he’s not too bad at it. [Would you ask Tom Petty that?])

In celebration of all things everywhere at all times:

SOCIAL HERO! LIVE! IN CONCERT! NO FOOLIN’!
7:00pm – Thursday, August 13th
at REBEL
251 W. 30th Street, NYC
(A/C/E, 1/2/3, N/R/Q/W, B/D/F/V to 34th Street)
$10, Ages 18+
www.rebelnyc.com

This will be a particularly (and literally) MIND-BLOWING night of rock and roll for the following reasons:

We will be playing with The Minor Lift (www.myspace.com/theminorlift) and Blue Winter (www.myspace.com/bluewinter), both of which are some of the hardest rocking bands in show business.

BUT WAIT! Just when you thought it couldn’t get any crazier, The Minor Lift will feature none other than Griffin “Li’l Brudder” Lotti on lead guitar, and Blue Winter has retained the vocal stylings of none other than David “Bonitis” Lloyd on lead vocals! It’s a veritable THREEFER! A SOCIAL HERO OVERLOAD! WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT???

That question is rhetorical.

We’ll see you there!

LOVE & FLUZZ,

SOCIAL HERO

olé!
